The main problem here is that a young Muslim is taught by non-Muslim teachers, some of whom endeavour to spread atheist concepts. Some students, including postgraduate ones, have fallen prey to such attempts.
If we ensure that our students go to educational establishments equipped with certainty of belief and a good standard of Islamic knowledge that enables him or her to evaluate new ideas and information, the situation would be much easier.
